Terms and safety

Route Forecast helps you plan, but you're always the one making the call on the road or trail. By using it, you agree to the following.
Forecasts can be wrong
Weather forecasts are estimates, and conditions can change quickly, especially in the mountains. Wind, temperature, storms, air quality, and snow conditions on your ride may be different from what the app shows. Always check the sky, carry what you'd need if the weather turns, and turn around when conditions call for it.
Route information may be incomplete
Surface, traffic, bike lanes, water stops, stores, and campsites come from OpenStreetMap, which volunteers maintain. It may be missing, out of date, or wrong. Roads close, water sources run dry, stores change hours, and campsites fill up or need reservations. Treat spring water before drinking it, and respect private land and local rules.
Ride safely
- Don't look at or handle your phone while riding in traffic or on technical terrain. Pull over first.
- Mount your phone securely if you use ride mode.
- Follow traffic laws and trail rules.
- Group riding tips, like echelons and pulls, are general guidance. Ride within your group's skill and comfort level.
General guidance only
Clothing, food, water, and sleeping bag suggestions are general guidelines, not medical or professional advice. Adjust them to your own needs.
No warranty
Route Forecast is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. It may have errors or be unavailable at times. To the extent the law allows, Route Forecast and its creator aren't liable for any loss, injury, or damage from using the app or relying on its information.
Other services
Parts of the app rely on other services, including Strava, Open-Meteo, OpenStreetMap, map providers, and Stripe. Your use of those services is also covered by their own terms.
Tips
Tips are voluntary and are a thank-you. They don't buy any service, feature, or guarantee.
